TITLE : DEFENCE AGAINST DECEPTION

TEXT:"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you." (Matthew 24:4)

Our Lord Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He will never allow his flock to go astray. Although He loves them, He will not shy away from warning them about the evil world. As a youth, you should take heed to those warnings and stay out of trouble. An adage says, “The dog that will be lost will not heed the hunter’s whistle”. Any Christian youth who desires to be successful will take heed to the dos and don’ts as laid down in the Scripture. "We are in the last days" characterised by all kinds of ungodliness, including internet scams, pornography and immorality, examination malpractices, intolerance, terrorism and occult practices. Our Lord expressly warns believers against religious deception. Religious intolerance has given rise to unbridled violence and attendant loss of lives in many countries today. The only way to avoid being deceived is to know the word of God and fellowship with believers that love the truth. Ask the Lord Jesus to protect you from religious charlatans and false teachers.
  • Challenge: Beware of deception in these last days.
  • Prayer:Oh God, help me to turn away from perilous signs.
  • Further Reading:Matthew 24: 1-14.
  • Quotation:Know the word of God.
